Founder and Principal
Lance W. Gurel is the founder and principal of Gurel CPA, PC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arkansas Tech University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Lance was first licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1997 and brings decades of experience in public accounting.
Throughout his career, Lance has focused primarily on tax services for individuals, families, and small businesses, while also working extensively with nonprofit organizations—particularly in the healthcare and education sectors. His work with nonprofits includes both professional engagements and ongoing pro bono services for smaller organizations that benefit from additional financial guidance.
Lance is known for his practical, client-centered approach and his ability to explain complex financial matters in clear, understandable terms. He is committed to helping clients make informed decisions and to supporting the financial health of the communities he serves.
Kimma Gurel
Director of Operations and Client Services
Kimma Gurel serves as Director of Operations and Client Services at Gurel CPA, PC. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, with a minor in Spanish, from Arkansas Tech University.
In her role, Kimma oversees client communications, scheduling, and document coordination, helping ensure a smooth and responsive experience for clients throughout the year.
She works closely with Lance to support the firm’s operations and to make the tax and accounting process as organized and stress-free as possible.
Kimma’s background in business and sociology, combined with her strong communication skills, allows her to serve as a helpful point of contact for clients and to keep the firm running efficiently behind the scenes.
